Simone Matti

Visual Artist

I work at the intersection of visual art, research and narrative. My projects explore themes of memory, identity and imperfection through photography, installation and hybrid visual languages.

Born in Brescia in 1978, where I live and work as a freelance IT professional. My artistic path began in 2014 with my first photography course, later deepened through workshops and festivals across Italy and Europe.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to study with some of the most significant names in Italian and international photography: Franco Fontana, Toni Thorimbert, Silvia Bigi, Sara Lando, Eolo Perfido, Joe Oppedisano, among others.

For several years I have been part of the Caminom Project artists collective and a member of Collettivo Imperfetto, a research group investigating the relationship between aesthetic imperfection, diversity and contemporary visual languages.

In 2024 my work was acquired by Irinox SpA, entering their corporate art collection.
